Despite the risk of terror attacks on the UK after the Taliban seized control of Afghanistan, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he`s willing to work with them wherever necessary. Mr. Johnson gave the people assurance that “political and diplomatic efforts” would be made to come up with a solution for the Afghanistan situation.

“I think it’s very important that we take people at face value, ” Mr. Johnson responded to questions on whether the Taliban spokesperson`s word on future relations.
The prime minister added: “We hope they mean what they say. But again, as I said in the House of Commons, and I think that this is the position of everybody from the president of the United States, President Macron of France, Angela Merkel, everybody that I talked to – everybody is agreed that we will judge them on their actions, and that is the important thing.”
On Wednesday during a debate, Mr. Johnson emphasized that it would be wrong for any country to recognize “any new regime in Kabul prematurely or bilaterally”.

“Instead, those countries that care about Afghanistan’s future should work towards common conditions about the conduct of the new regime before deciding, together, whether to recognize it and on what terms,” he added.
Mr. Johnson revealed that nearly a thousand people were transported by air from Afghanistan, and another thousand are expected to be evacuated today.
