Swale Police were involved in a pursuit with a Ford Transit in Sittingbourne yesterday after spotting the suspect vehicle.
To avoid capture, the transit van driver decided to ram the patrol car. Following a further pursuit, the van went off road and the occupants decamped in a field.
Stolen property was located in the back of the abandoned van – which happened to be a mini digger.
