A DOG expert has revealed the nine least affectionate breeds that he says all pet lovers need to be aware of.
Kamal Fernandez says there a number of pooches that are less welcoming when it comes to cuddles and pats, and more “anti-social”.

A dog expert also said German shepherds are also on the list[/caption]
He described that the dogs are like some people, who can be “largely indifferent towards people outside of their social circles”.
Kamal’s list included breeds like poodles and German shepherds.
But it also included cane corsos, beaucerons, Shetland sheepdogs, afghan hounds, basenjis, briards and Tibetan mastiffs.
He explained that poodles are originally gun dogs and don’t like people invading their space, while German shepards can be wary of strangers – hence why they’re known as good guard dogs.
The dog behaviour specialist explained cane corsos love their people, but should be cautiously introduced to strangers – much like Shetland sheepdogs.
While Beaucerons thrive on training and education – not affection.
Kamal said afghan hounds don’t like being petted by strangers, nor do basenjis, briards or Tibetan mastiffs.
He told MailOnlie: “Domestic dogs are, by nature, social creatures; they are hard-wired to gravitate towards people.
“However, there are some breeds which you could call ‘anti-social’.”
Kamal said that doesn’t mean these dog are aggressive and nasty.
He continued: “These dogs simply like who they like and are largely indifferent towards people outside of their social circles.
“I know lots of humans who are the same.
“This doesn’t mean they don’t make amazing pets; in fact, they absolutely love their people.
“They may just need a little help navigating a world within which we want our dogs to be everyone’s best friend.”
Kama also recently named the nine best breeds for cuddles.
Meanwhile, another expert named the best and worst breeds for first-time puppy owners.
Another revealed three breeds he would advise against getting if you’re a parent.
