Verbatim: The temple of the famous Somnath Mahadev resounded with the sound of ‘Har Har Mahadev’ on the occasion of Shivaratri festival. Along with lakhs of devotees in the temple, the devotees had darshan of Bholanath even sitting at home through live darshan. The Somnath temple was decorated with various colorful lights and flowers. Devotees flocked in large numbers to take advantage of the aarti at Somnath Dada’s temple. A huge crowd was seen in the temple with long queues of devotees.
Various programs were grandly organized by Somnath Trust. Different shivlings were made from mud on Somnath beach. The Somnath temple resounded with the sound of ‘Har Har Mahadev’. The temple was flagged off by the Somnath Trust. In the vicinity of Bholenath, Triveni Sangam, religious, spiritual and cultural programs including Jyotpujan, special worship of Char Prahar, Palkhi Yatra, Aarti were organized. A large number of devotees thronged from far and wide across India to take advantage of Bholenath’s darshan on Mahashivratri.
On Mahashivratri, special arrangements were made in the temple of Bholenath for Shiva devotees to take advantage of the Mahamrityunajaya Yajna. Tight security arrangements were made in the temple premises. Special care was also taken to ensure that the pilgrims do not face any kind of inconvenience or difficulty. Apart from this, Shiva devotees from all over Gujarat formed long lines outside the Shiva temple and had darshan of Bholenath.
