Ahmedabad: Gujarati Theater, TV Famous serial and film actor Sameer Khakhar has passed away. Sameer Khakhar played the very famous character of ‘Khopdi’ in Doordarshan’s popular serial Nukkad in the 80s. However, the cause of the actor’s death is yet to be known. Sameer Khakhar lived alone in IC Colony, Borivali, Mumbai. Sameer Khakhar’s wife lives in America. He was last seen in the serial ‘Farzi’ which was released. About what suddenly happened to Sameerbhai, his brother Ganesh Khakhar says that he had difficulty breathing. After that he fell asleep and during that time he became unconscious and his BP went down. So the doctor was consulted and he opined that he should be admitted to the hospital. By 3.30 pm, he was admitted to the hospital and placed in the ICU. Then kidney problems started causing his heart to overload and then slowly multiple organ failure started. Finally he was put on a ventilator. Unfortunately it didn’t work. And this morning at 4:30 he breathed his last.
