Surat: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will appear in a local court in Gujarat. A defamation case was registered against Rahul. On which the Gujarat Court can give its verdict. This matter is related to commenting on Modi surname. This case was registered against Rahul Gandhi in 2019. Former Gujarat Minister and BJP MLA Purnesh Modi filed a defamation case against Rahul. He alleged that Rahul had insulted the dignity of the entire Modi community with his remarks. It may be mentioned that while addressing an election rally, Rahul allegedly said that ‘Why is the surname of all thieves Modi?’ Rahul has left for Gujarat to appear in court.
