New Delhi: The cases of Kovid-19 infection are increasing rapidly in India. In the latest government statistics, a 3.5 times increase in cases of corona virus infection has been seen in two weeks. Most of the cases are coming from states that already had more cases. Four districts in Delhi, two each in Kerala and Maharashtra and one district in Gujarat recorded the highest weekly test positive rate. The number of districts with 10 per cent or more weekly cases has increased to 32 in 14 states and union territories, according to central figures. According to a report, 63 districts in 19 states, Union Territories recorded a rate of 5 to 10 percent in the week of March 19-25. Delhi is involved in the highest weekly case increase. South Delhi had a 13.8 per cent test positive rate, East Delhi 13.1 per cent, North-East Delhi 12.3 per cent and Central Delhi 10.4 per cent positive. Wayanad (14.8%) and Kottayam (10.5%) in Kerala, Ahmedabad (10.7%) in Gujarat and Sangli (14.6%) and Pune (11.1%) in Maharashtra.
