Ahmedabad: Health Minister Rishikesh Patel launched a new MRI machine at the 1200-bed women’s and pediatric hospital of Ahmedabad Civil Medicine. State Govt Rs. Minister Rishikesh Patel expressed that the state-of-the-art MRI machine installed at a cost of 9.34 crores will increase the well-being of patients.
On this occasion, the Health Minister asserted that the modern equipment being made available by the state government in the government hospitals of the state is improving the well-being of the patients and making the diagnosis of diseases and health services accurate and easy. The diagnosis of any disease by MRI machine proves effective for accurate treatment.
As a result of the MRI machine available in the 1200 bed hospital of Ahmedabad Civil Medicity, the patient coming to the hospital will not need to go for MRI elsewhere in the Medicity. As a result, prompt treatment will be available to the patient.
Civil Hospital in Civil Medicine Campus, GCRI Hospital and one PPP standard MRI machine was already functioning for the patients and addition of one more machine will be beneficial for the patients.
It is mentioned here that during the Corona period, when the 1200 bed hospital was designated for Covid, various devices including CT Scan Machine, Digital X-Ray, Sonography, Portable X-Ray and Sonography were installed in this hospital.
As a result of all these machines available in the hospital, women and pediatric patients coming to the 1200-bed hospital are being helped in accurate diagnosis of the disease.
In the last five years from 2018 to 2022, 18.06 lakh X-rays, 76,365 CT scans, 44,919 MRI machines, 3.36 lakh sonographies, and 1.34 crore lab tests have been done in civil hospitals.
