Anantnag: Registration for Amarnath Yatra has started from Monday. This year the Yatra will start from 1st July, which will last till 31st August. The registration is being done both online and offline. According to officials, registration has started for both Pahalgam trek in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district.
Offline registration can be done in 316 branches of Punjab National Bank, 99 branches of SBI Bank, 90 branches of Jammu and Kashmir and 37 branches of Yes Bank. Devotees can also apply online for the Yatra by visiting the website of the Amarnathji Shrine Board.
According to the guidelines, people in the age group of 13 to 70 years can register themselves for Amarnath Yatra. Health certificate is mandatory for all pilgrims. At the same time, women 6 weeks or more pregnant are not allowed to travel. On March 14, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha announced the date of the pilgrimage. He told about the preparations of the administration. He said that pilgrims are the priority of Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Better health services and other facilities will be made available to all pilgrims coming to the state. Telecom services will be run better before the start of the pilgrimage. There is a happy atmosphere among the passengers and the depot managers when the timetable is announced. On the other hand, special doctors will start sitting for the medical of Amarnath Yatris at the civil hospital in Ludhiana from today, so that the Yatris can be registered after their medical.
