New Delhi: The world’s most powerful economic bloc is the G20. India currently holds the responsibility of chairing this important international group. The 100th meeting of the G20 was held under the chairmanship of India. According to the statement of the Ministry of External Affairs, more than 12 thousand representatives of different 111 countries participated in this meeting.
India is chairing the G20 from 1 December 2022. India has crossed an important milestone as the Chairman of the G20. Ever since India assumed this responsibility, it has been organizing continuous meetings under this group on various sectors and issues. With this, India has completed a century of meetings under its chairmanship of the G20 group.
A meeting of chief agricultural scientists of member countries was held under the banner of G20 in Varanasi. Along with this, India has achieved a very important achievement in the presidency of G20. It was the 100th meeting of the group under the chairmanship of India. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement regarding this achievement. According to this statement, 100 G20 meetings have been organized so far in 41 cities of 28 states and Union Territories.
A total of more than 200 meetings are to be held during a year under the chairmanship of India. These meetings are scheduled in around 60 cities. India is for the first time hosting foreign delegates for more than 200 meetings on such a large scale.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, this is the most extensive geographical area under any G20 presidency. So far more than 12 thousand delegates from 111 countries have participated in G20 meetings. It involves the participation of G20 members, 9 invited countries and 14 international organizations.
