Surat: Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Public Sector Undertaking by ‘Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Hazira’ organized “Saksam Cyclothon” in Surat city. In which more than 600 cyclists participated in the lively and energetic atmosphere of the early morning and gave the message of ‘Fit India’. All pedaled with a determination and hopes for a golden future for a pollution-free India. Under the guidance of Ministry of Petroleum and Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), this cyclothon was organized under the theme ‘Energy Conservation Towards Net Zero’ under the ‘Conservation Capability Festival-2023’ as part of public awareness for oil and gas conservation. Surat’s cyclists were unstoppable with their determination to build a ‘healthy India’ and protect petroleum products.
Ultracyclist Nitin Patel, Executive Plant Manager J. V. N. Rao, OOMS President Tanuja Balodi and VCC members of Hazira Plant flagged off the cyclothon.
Participating cyclists pledged to make energy conservation-net zero a reality. On this occasion the official plant manager J. V. N. Rao appreciated the dedication and enthusiasm of the large number of participants despite bad weather and heavy rains and urged the cyclists to spread the message of saving fuel.
