Hundreds of thousands of holidaymakers may fail to travel abroad following the NHS` data errors on their vaccine passports.
The NHS blunders on up to 700,000 vaccine passports mean that some people who had been double-jabbed can no longer prove their status to travel abroad. The data errors cropped up when users noticed that the vaccine passport section on the NHS app, unattached to the NHS Covid app that tracks exposure to the virus, had incorrect data.

“Two weeks ago I decided I had had enough, so I took drastic action. I went and had a third vaccination,” said one man whose vaccine passport contained errors.
He added: “This has now shown up in the app as my second vaccination and it appears as though I’m fully vaccinated and good to travel, and can now use the domestic pass for the theatre.”
Experts assert that there might be even more errors on other vaccine passports besides the ones that have come to light.
In an effort to counter the ordeal of erroneous Covid vaccine passports, the UK health service is launching a seven-day Vaccination Data Resolution Service to “support citizens resolving problems they encounter with their Covid-19 vaccination records”.
The NHS Digital seemed to be making light of the erroneous Covid vaccine passports.

“The vast majority of updates made to vaccination records by NHS digital do not relate to people’s vaccine status,” a representative said. “The NHS is proactively contacting people who have been vaccinated in England and are showing an incomplete record so their records can be urgently corrected.”
