All vapers can experience a leaking tank. That is because you have a container with liquid that you take with you all day. This is frustrating and annoying, but that is not all you should worry about.
A leaking tank many not be the same as just buying new 510 threaded batteries, but it is totally fixable. Of course, a leaking tank is inconvenient and messy, and sometimes the situation can get worse. Do not worry because there is no need to panic since there are a couple of ways you can do to fix the leaking vape tank.
Tighten the Tank
Is the e-liquid escaping through the joints? You have to make sure that everything is properly connected. Are the tank and base properly tightened? If you notice gaps because parts of the tank are not properly screwed together, then the e-liquid could leak from there.
You should not tighten it too much because that will not be good as well, like the base where the coil is sitting. You might not have the chance to put them apart again and this also leads to cross threading. If the threads are not placed properly together, this can also let the vape juice escape.
Fill Your Tank Correctly
Refilling a tank seem a no-brainer, but you should actually follow a technique to do it properly. One common cause of a leaky tank is when you will it up too high. All vapes have a central tube, which moves towards upwards from the coil to the mouthpiece. When you are refilling the tank, it can sometimes overflow into the tube. That causes a gurgling or leaking tank.
Switching the vape tank helps you prevent the e-juice from going into the tube, and they cause a few other leaks. As you fill the tank, tilt it a little, so that the e-juice flows down the tank’s interior wall, and avoiding the central tube completely. While the juice level gets closer to the tank, you can already start leveling the tank while holding it straight. If you are using dab vapes, you should take note of this tip as well.
Replace O-Rings
If you happen to overtighten the parts, then you will most likely benefit from getting new o-rings and this can normally be the answer to any leaking issues. Even if you do not screw the parts on too tightly, the o-rings can still get damaged over time and they can sometimes move out of position as well. The idea is that you must double-check the small rubber rings, and where they should be. In case they already look worn out, just swap them for new ones. Normally, these come as space with your vape kit.
Residue Buildup
The residue can cause the tank from sealing tightly, which lets in a small amount of vape to leak. Residue can also cause damage to the 510 threaded batteries.
