Banaskantha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given Rs. The second dairy, built at a cost of over Rs 200 crore, was inaugurated. The Prime Minister also inaugurated the Banas Dairy Complex, Potato Processing and Product Unit and Dudhwani Community Radio Station constructed at 121 Vigha in Sanadara. On this occasion, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP President C. R. Patil, Shankarbhai Chaudhary of Banas Dairy and other leaders were present.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that small farmers of the country earn Rs. 3.50 lakh crore milk production which is the highest in the world. Not only that, he said, the total cost of milk production is higher than the production of wheat and rice and small farmers are the biggest beneficiaries in the dairy sector. During the inauguration ceremony, Modi said that today India is the largest milk producer in the world. Millions of farmers depend on milk for their livelihood. India spends Rs. Produces milk worth Rs 2.50 lakh crore which is not noticed by many people including big economists.
On the occasion, Modi said that the new dairy complex is a greenfield project. It will enable the processing of about 3 million liters of milk, daily production of about 20 tons of butter, 1 million liters of ice cream, 20 tons of condensed milk (lost) and 3 tons of chocolate. The potato processing plant will produce a variety of processed potato products such as French fries, potato chips, aloo tikki, patties, etc., which will be exported to many other countries. Referring to Banas Dairy’s bio CNG and Gobar gas plant, he said that the plant would produce kanchan from waste. This will make the resolution of well-being and cleanliness come true. Pastoralists will get money from Gobardhan, farmers will get organic manure and people will get electricity. This model must reach the whole country, he added.
The plant has a milk processing capacity of 20 lakh liters per day which can be increased to 20 lakh liters per day. The plant has a capacity of 100 tons per day butter production, 1 lakh liters per day ice cream plant, 50 tons per day lost and 3 tons per day chocolate enrolling plant. The complex next to the dairy plant also has the capacity to process 5 tons of crackers per day. For the first time in the co-operative sector, Banas Dairy Complex, Deodar, a Banas Community FM Radio 30.5 station is being set up which will be very useful in public education and animal husbandry.
