Mumbai: Mumbai student Kamya Karthikeyan has become the youngest Indian to climb Mount Denali in North America, the defense ministry said. Kamya is a 10th standard student of Navy Children’s School (NCS) Mumbai and the daughter of Navy Commander Karthikeyan.
On June 6, Kamya climbed Mount Denali and hoisted a naval symbol with Indian tricolors. In this way she became the youngest Indian to achieve this feat. Remote Alaskan Peak is the tallest in North America and probably the most challenging and difficult of the seven peaks. With this ascent he achieved the fifth milestone on his way to the highest peaks on both continents and all seven poles, according to a statement in this regard.
