Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that as soon as the government was formed for the first time in 2015, the power of the Delhi government was taken away by issuing a notification, after eight years the Supreme Court order came, it was also overturned and that too on the court holidays. Mamata Banerjee has said in the Rajya Sabha that she will support us. Mamata Banerjee said, we respect the Supreme Court, only the Supreme Court can save the country. We the people have discussed among ourselves that the central government should oppose the ordinance that has been brought.
Mamata Banerjee said, I appeal to all parties that if we all can stand together, this big message will go and the ordinance will go. Our party has decided that we will oppose this ordinance. The Supreme Court then ruled in our favor, but a week after the order came, they passed an ordinance reversing the Supreme Court’s order.
