Kalol: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel made a surprise visit to Golthara Primary School in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar district on the first day of the two-day statewide school entrance festival. Bhupendra Patel reached the school entrance festival of Golthara Primary School without any pre-planned program to participate in the school entrance festival being held across the state on the 12th and 13th. The teachers, children and parents expressed joy and surprise at the sudden appearance in the school. Bhupendra Patel symbolically presented the school admission kit to the Golthara Primary School by enrolling two children in Class-1 and Balwatika. In this Golthara and Lakshmipura primary school, 9 children have been enrolled in Balwatika, 24 in Anganwadi and 5 in class-1 under the entrance festival. According to the information provided by the Information Department, a total of approximately 14,667 children will be enrolled in Anganwadi, Balwatika and Class-1 in 601 schools under the school entrance festival in Gandhinagar district. It is worth mentioning that under the state-wide school entrance festival, approximately 12.7 lakh children will be admitted to school this year, with an amount of Rs. 30 lakh in Class 1 and 9.77 lakh in Balwatika.
