James Maddison, the 26-year-old midfielder who has represented England three times and played a key role in Leicester City’s FA Cup triumph in 2021, is scheduled to undergo a medical examination at Tottenham on Wednesday.
Since joining Leicester from Norwich in 2018 for a fee of approximately £20m, Maddison has made 203 appearances for the club.

Despite scoring 10 goals in the Premier League last season, he was unable to prevent Leicester’s relegation.
With a total of 55 goals and 41 assists for the Foxes, Maddison’s creativity will be a valuable addition to a Tottenham squad that has been lacking a playmaker since Christian Eriksen’s departure in 2020.
Although Newcastle had previously shown interest in signing Maddison, they now seem to have shifted their focus to AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali for this summer.
Tottenham recently acquired Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario from Serie A side Empoli and have also made Sweden midfielder Dejan Kulusevski’s loan move from Juventus permanent since the arrival of new manager Ange Postecoglou.
