A MUM got into a bitter clash with another parent while the two watched their kids at soft play.
And things got so heated between the pair that one of the women made a cruel comment about the other one’s weight in retaliation – something she said she now regrets.
One mum and her daughter were enjoying a day out, while she sat in the seating area as her little girl played inside.
Meanwhile, another mum was there with her son, who was also in the soft play area.
But what happened next, as one of the women, called Kirsten, revealed via her TikTok account @all_about_me, turned it from a fun afternoon into a sad mum-shaming situation.
Kirsten explained: “This morning, I had a bit of mum-shaming aimed at me. And I responded to it in a bit of a nasty way through defence.”
She then went on to recall: “I was sitting in an area by the soft play where I had my back to it.
“Obviously there’s loads of children everywhere because it’s half term.”
Kirsten continued: “This woman sits down next to me and she’s with her friends. Now this woman – I just need to preface – was larger than life in every way that I can advise.
“Not that there’s anything wrong with being bigger, but this is how the scenario went.”
The social media user then explained how she had heard the other woman say that there was a little girl in the soft play that was “crying her little heart out because all she wants is her mummy.”
Kirsten then claimed to have heard her slamming the at the time anonymous mum’s skills and saying that she was ignoring her daughter and didn’t deserve children.
Kirsten continued: “Now her child is also there and where we were both sitting, there is no way that either of us could see our child, so we’re both in exactly the same situation.
“If her child was crying, she wouldn’t know either.”
However, Kirsten’s friend’s daughter then ran over to say that her little girl had “hurt her bum” and “wants her mummy.”
She said: “So I go round there and she’s not crying – she’s not showing any signs of having cried, but she is upset.”
The mum then comforted her child and made her feel better, before she went back off to play.
But Kirsten said she couldn’t let the other mum’s comments go – now knowing they were directed at her – and took a low blow at her appearance.
She went on: “So I then sat back down and I said to her, ‘Would you even be able to get your child if he was at the top of the soft play crying?’
“I was like, ‘because how dare you make me feel like s**t and say that that little girl doesn’t have a mum that loves her because she’s paying her no attention.’
“I said, ‘can you see your son from here? And she was just like, ‘Uh, uh…’ I said, ‘no, you can’t see your son from here – so if he’d hurt his bum on the slide, you wouldn’t have a clue, either.’”
Kirsten added that was so angry with the other mum’s comments that she couldn’t help herself.
She concluded: “Yes, I probably shouldn’t have said to her, ‘would you actually be able to get to him?’ because I was really p***ed off.
“But, at the same time, I was like, ‘I’m not going to have you mum shame me when you’re in exactly the same situation and you wouldn’t even be able to do anything about it.”
She then added in the caption: “Mum shaming is not ok! I feel guilty about my response back to her, but my back was up and I was upset.”
