Additionally, Microsoft is introducing Bing Chat Enterprise, a privacy-focused version of the AI chatbot that offers enhanced security measures for handling sensitive business data.
First introduced in March, Microsoft 365 Copilot represents the company’s vision for the future of work. Powered by GPT-4, this suite of tools enables users to generate Office content using natural-language prompts.
For instance, users can instruct PowerPoint to create a presentation based on a Word document, generate proposals from spreadsheet data, or summarize emails and compose responses in Outlook, simply by typing straightforward commands.
Frank X. Shaw, Microsoft’s Chief Communications Officer, explained that Copilot leverages business data, such as documents, emails, calendar appointments, chats, meetings, and contacts, along with the user’s working context, to provide more relevant and actionable responses to inquiries.
While Copilot has been undergoing testing with select enterprise partners, Microsoft has yet to announce the official release date for all business customers.
However, the disclosure of pricing suggests that the launch may be imminent.
The $30 per month pricing will apply to Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Business Standard, and Business Premium customers. The company has not yet provided details on Copilot’s pricing or availability for consumers.
Simultaneously, Microsoft is introducing Bing Chat Enterprise, a version of the popular AI chatbot with a heightened focus on security.
This enterprise variant, launched following the consumer release in February, addresses concerns raised by corporate customers regarding data protection.
Bing Chat Enterprise ensures that commercial data remains safeguarded, granting organizations AI-powered chat capabilities while maintaining data privacy.
Frank X. Shaw emphasized that this offering allows commercial customers to access better answers, improve efficiency, and explore new avenues for creativity, all while preserving the confidentiality of their information.
