Fights have broken out between police and groups attempting to reach the Cenotaph in Central London.
Reports state that a large crowd of people bearing St George’s flags was seen walking along the Embankment, shouting “England till I die”.
The situation escalated as a line of police officers tried to stop them from reaching Whitehall, but the group pushed through, with some shouting “Let’s have them” as officers hit out with batons.
According to the latest updates, the group appears to have reached Whitehall where the Cenotaph is situated. Many more individuals are pushing through, shouting “forward”.
In a concerning development, it has been reported that Tommy Robinson, also known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, is present in Central London.
These events are unfolding as 500,000 people are expected to march in central London in support of Palestine amidst the renewed violence between Hamas and Israel.

Last week, the Metropolitan Police urged marchers to reconsider holding the event on Armistice Day, citing potential tensions with counter-protesters.

To protect national remembrance events and locations, particularly the Cenotaph, an exclusion zone has been put in place covering Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade, the Westminster Abbey Field of Remembrance, and other relevant areas. This effectively bans people from accessing these locations.
Adding to the tensions, a fake clip of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is being circulated amongst far-right groups. The clip suggests that the Mayor wants to postpone events scheduled for this weekend.
