David Silva, the 37-year-old Spanish football legend, enjoyed a highly successful decade at City, securing four Premier League titles, before joining Real Sociedad in 2020.
However, Silva’s career took a setback when he suffered a severe knee injury during pre-season, prompting him to announce his retirement after 19 years in the game.

Expressing his emotions on social media, Silva stated, “Today is a somber day for me. It is time to bid farewell to the passion I have dedicated my entire life to.
It is time to bid farewell to my teammates, who have become like family to me. I will deeply miss you all.”
Having initially joined City from Valencia in 2010, the former Spanish international made a remarkable 436 appearances for the club, netting 77 goals.
