Police Officers have uncovered a large cannabis production site on an industrial estate in Dover.
Kent Police received a report on On Wednesday 3rd January 2024, that a very large quantity of cannabis plants had been found to be growing inside a warehouse in Poulton Close.
Items of makeshift electrical equipment were also reported to be inside the building and were disrupting the regular electrical installation.
Attending Police Officers secured the scene and discovered a large cultivation of around 800 cannabis plants, which have now been removed. Experts have made safe the electrical supply whilst the growing facility has been dismantled. They have not yet discovered who was involved in setting up and maintaining the factory.

Detective Constable Robert Rainbow, of East Kent CID, said ‘Cannabis production sites such as this are set up to fuel the illegal activities of large, organised groups whose crimes have devastating effects that ripple out through communities. I am pleased that our officers have shut down this cultivation and removed these illegal drugs from circulation, while we continue investigations to bring those involved to justice.’
