“This Is Me…Now: A Love Story” is part of a three-part project that J-Lo has embarked on, which she says was inspired by her husband, actor Ben Affleck.
Alongside the film, the 54-year-old singer has released her first album in ten years, also titled “This Is Me…Now,” and will be releasing a documentary later this month called “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.”
Jennifer has been open about the concerns raised by Ben, as well as cast member Jane Fonda and other friends, regarding the project. Jane, an Oscar winner, questioned whether it was a good idea for J-Lo to express her devotion to her fourth husband publicly.
The couple originally planned to marry in 2003 but split up, only to rekindle their romance in 2021 and tie the knot in July 2022.
J-Lo shared, “What came first, very plainly, was Ben and I got back together. We were so happy and in love and couldn’t believe we were getting this second chance that neither of us thought we would ever get.
And as an artist, it inspired me to go in and make music again, in a way I hadn’t done since ‘This Is Me…Then’ 20 years ago.”
