KILMARNOCK have knocked back two bids for star man Danny Armstrong, according to reports.
The 26-year-old was one of the top players in the Scottish Premiership last season, scoring six goals and providing ten assists as Killie secured a Europa Conference League place.

He created more big chances in the league than any other player in 2023/24 (according to Opta) and was considered hard done by to have missed out on a place in the Scotland squad for Euro 2024.
Fans begged for the uncapped winger to be given a chance when Ben Doak went down injured in the build-up, but Steve Clarke opted to bring in Lewis Morgan and Tommy Conway instead.
This punter said at the time: “The fact that Danny Armstrong did not even get on that Scotland bench is mindblowing.”
Another said of Clarke’s decision: “This squad won’t be remembered for the players who Clarke chose to take. It will be remembered for the players he chose not to take. Danny Armstrong and that other Killie lad (Davie Watson), prime examples.”
And this Scotland fan said: “Is it just me that thinks Danny Armstrong has been hard done by with not being given a chance for Scotland after the season he’s had? If he had been at Celtic or Rangers you can guarantee he would have been given a shot.”
With a year left on his contract, Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes knows it could be a case of now or never when it comes to cashing in on the former Wolves starlet.
According to the Daily Mail, Bolton Wanderers of League One approached the Rugby Park club last week and made two offers for the player.
But both bids have been booted out, with the value believed to be around the £400,000 mark.
McInnes said of Armstrong’s situation: “With Danny, we’ve been trying for the last six or seven months to get an agreement where he can sign a bit longer.
“The reality is it’s going to be difficult to do that, I think. Danny’s into his last year now, which is not a situation anybody at the club wants. We’ve tried hard to try to avoid that situation. All of these things are ongoing.
“We’re trying to keep good players within the club as well as trying to attract good players from out with. It’s a constant battle, to be honest.
“While the players are with us, like Danny, he’s got a lot to offer us. We don’t just want to let players walk out of the door cheaply.
“He’s such a key player for us, and we’ve got Europe to look forward to, but we see the importance of trying to get that longer-term stability for our players.”
