A man has been arrested in connection with a crash, after a car smashed through the front window of a restaurant in Margate.
Kent Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision in Northdown Road, Margate, at 00:13 BST on Sunday.
A 38-year-old man was arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
A cordon was put in place following the crash over concerns about a possible gas leak.
Images shared by the restaurant show two cars outside the premises, one of them having broken a large front window.
The owners of the TY-8 restaurant said it would be closed until further notice, whilst they undertake repairs to the front of the premises.
The restaurant said on its Facebook page “Thank you for your condolences. Our family is safe and unharmed.”
