Saban’s seven national titles make him the winningest college football coach in terms of championships. He shares the record for most titles in Alabama history with legendary coach Bear Bryant, both having won six.
Alabama President Stuart R. Bell expressed his deep appreciation for Saban’s leadership and service to the university over the past 17 years. Bell credited Saban’s commitment to excellence, which set the standard for the football program on and off the field.
