However, there are plenty of other ways you can keep nice and cosy, such as Amazon’s Ceramic Plug in Fan Heater, which is priced at just £17.45
The tiny 1200w heater comes in two colours, white and blue, and takes just three seconds to heat up.
It also has protection from overheating, and has a wide angle air supply, meaning that it heats up your entire room.
The heater has both a low heat and a high heat mode, and the adjustable thermostat can automatically regulate the room temperature.

Amazon lovers have raced to the review section of the website to share their love for the heater.
One person said: ” I have used the lower setting, which seems to run at about 30p an hour …way cheaper than having my central heating on.
“Even on the lower setting it does warm the room pretty quickly and after an hour it can be turned off and the room stays tolerable.”
A second person said: “I bought one to try out and it worked so well I bought another two.
“Perfect for an instant blast of heat.”
