GEORGE Harper is a TikToker better known as georgethedp, who shot to fame for his unique cinematic style.
The influencer received the Rising Star Creator of the Year Award at the TikTok Awards UK and Ireland 2024.
Behind the camera
George is a Director of Photography, known for his incredible cinematography and unique approach to aesthetics.
He regularly posts videos documenting his channels on his YouTube channel and his TikTok account, which now has over 50,000 followers.
The TikToker often posts videos which document his travels, including one beautiful video which takes his fans on a tour around Lisbon.
Viewers are treated to vintage-style views of Lisbon’s trams and the iconic 25 de Abril Bridge, which was built by the company which constructed San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
Becoming an inspiration
George often uses his videos to express his feelings.
In one video, he opens up about the amazing journey upon which his camera has taken him.
He said: “When I started posting on TikTok two years ago, I never thought it would lead to anything.
“The amount of likes, comments, shares and messages from people around the world has just been insane.
“It keeps pushing me to want to keep creating content and hopefully inspiring others to do the same.
In another emotional video, he shares a Mac Miller quote which helps him to stay inspired and focused on his goals.
The quote reads: “If you have a creative mind, you’re gonna doubt a lot of things.
“Insecurity is all completely normal, especially with your own work cause it’s an extension of yourself.
“You gotta live just, just start being cool with letting people get to know you on a deeper level.”
Global recognition
In December 2024, George attended the TikTok Awards UK and Ireland 2024 where he took home the Rising Star Creator of the Year Award.
The awards were presented by Drag Race judge and “honorary Brit” Michelle Visage.
Guests were also treated to a performance by ex-Little Mix star Liegh-Anne.
