THEY say beauty is in the eye of the beholder – but apparently, the perfect breasts do exist.
Scientists claim to have found what “ideal breasts” look like – and it’s not all about size.

Among black women the ideal was seen as having “straight” nipples[/caption]
Scientists in the US found boobs that were moderately sized and had more volume in the area above the nipples – referred to as “upper pole fullness” – were most favourable.
Perkier breasts also scored highly, while size and symmetry didn’t appear as important.
Writing in Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum, the researchers also found “significant differences” across different races.
When it came to White women, the ideal shape included the nipple placed slightly lower on the chest, pointing upwards.
And among Black and Asian women, the ideal was seen as having “straight” nipples.
In the study, the researchers used an unnamed AI image-generator platform to create 150 images to analyse.
They used prompts such as ‘A topless Caucasian [white] woman with perfect aesthetically ideal breasts standing in three-quarter profile view’ to gather photos.
They then repeated this asking for ‘frontal view’ photos.
The researchers then selected 25 images from each of the three racial groups they were looking at – Caucasian, Black and Asian – for both three-quarter profile and frontal views, resulting in 150 images for analysis.
Using image editing software, they then measured each image to assess breast shape.
White breasts were found to closely follow the 45/55 rule, which has been cited as the formula for the perfectly proportioned breast in previous studies.
This related to 55 per cent of the breast volume being in the lower pole, below the nipple line, and 45 per cent in the upper pole, above the nipple.
Caucasian breasts had a mean ratio of 45.8/54.2 and the nipple was found to point slightly upwards at 21.5°.
African American women had a mean ratio of 51.4/48.6 and a nipple angle of 10.9°.
And Asian women recorded a mean ratio of 52.7/47.3 and a nipple angle of 10.5°.

The experts concluded the results showed beauty ideals are not a “one-size-fits-all” approach[/caption]
Black breasts were also found to have larger nipple-areolar complexes (NAC) — the pigmented breast region that includes the nipple and areola — compared to white breasts.
The experts concluded the results showed beauty ideals are not a “one-size-fits-all” approach and suggested their findings could be useful for plastic surgeons performing breast augmentations.
They wrote: “Defining the aesthetically ideal breast remains a complex and multifaceted challenge, requiring consideration of racial and cultural differences.
“The AI-generated breasts in this study were found to have significant differences between racial groups, support several previously described breast ideals, and provide insight into current and future ethical issues related to AI in aesthetic surgery.”
While some people desire the perfect looking pair, it’s also important to check your boobs regularly for health problems, like breast cancer.
