A serious accident on the A2 this morning (Tuesday 7th November) is causing widespread disruption.
The crash on the westbound section of the A2, just by the slip road for the M25 is causing miles of congestion. The queue currently stretches back to the M2 near Shorne.
Local towns and villages are also heavily congested as drivers look for alternative routes. The situation is not helped by a number of closed roads in the area. There is a multitude of closed roads in Gravesend, as the council show that they have no control over road closures.
There are large queues through New Barn, Istead Rise and even as far as Longfield.
Another crash on the A226 near Denton is not helping the situation much either.
There is currently no time given by the emergency services to clear the accident scene, meaning that drivers are advised to avoid the area for the morning.
