Jennifer Garner admits having a bob haircut is only “fun” on the day it’s cut. The ’13 Going on 30′ star has decided to grow out her sleek bob because she’s not a fan of having to style it all the time.
She told People: “Short hair is fun the day it’s cut. Then you have to actually do it. With long hair, you can just stick it in a bun on top of your head.”

Jennifer Garner also shared her skincare tip for gaining greater elasticity and wrinkle reduction. The actress, 51, revealed, “Hydration is everything. In skin care, the triangle is hyaluronic acid, SPF, and retinol. You need all three.”
“SPF is what holds the ship together,” Jennifer Garner added. “Retinol is telling your skin to keep growing new skin cells, and hyaluronic acid binds moisture to it, so there are fewer wrinkles and more bounce.”
Jennifer previously said sunscreen is a “non-negotiable” part of her skincare regime.
The actress, who is a mother to Samuel (11), Violet (17), and Seraphina (14), is committed to applying sun protection every day and actively urges people to do the same in order to prevent skin cancer and other skin problems.
In an interview with OUTLET in 2021, Jennifer Garner expressed her belief that applying makeup should be similar to brushing your teeth.
“All you need to do to avoid skin cancer is start taking your sun protection seriously. Nothing looks better in your 50s than sunscreen in your 20s, I tell people.”
“Going the extra mile is definitely worthwhile. And my tip for that is to just have a variety of sunscreen options with you at all times. There is a large pile close to the back entrance, as well as one directly by my bathroom and the bathrooms of my children.”
The ‘Yes Day’ actress is also concerned about teaching her children the value of shielding their skin from the sun’s damaging rays, and she has established a tight schedule to make sure they are covered.
Jennifer Garner explained, “People say to me, ‘My gosh, I have the hardest time, my kid does not want to put on sunscreen.’ But you just can’t let that be an option. They know I will take them out and spray them down. You can’t give in.”
Jennifer also enjoys letting her kids play with her cosmetics because she wants them to learn how to express themselves.
“I think kids their age will do what they’re going to do, whether you let them or not,” she continued. They’re welcome to try out different cosmetic looks, but some of my brushes are off bounds! As long as they have a strong sense of self, I have no issue with it. It’s wonderful that people may express themselves as they want to.”
