Kent Police recorded a big score after stopping a motorist in Ashford last night.
They initially pulled over the vehicle after spotting a faulty brake light. Once the person was asked to sit in the back of the police car for further questioning, a whole series of other issues came to light. They discovered that the driver did not have a valid driving license and did not have any insurance either.
They instigated a drugs test and then found out that the person was drug driving and unfit to drive. A further check of the vehicle then uncovered some class A drugs, as well as an offensive weapon of which the driver was charged for having in their possession without reasonable excuse.
The driver was arrested for all the offences and taken to the local police station, whilst the vehicle was impounded.
