Stephanie (@windycitycrafts1) shared the simple DIY in a TikTok video.
She picked up three hanging glass jars and three solar lights on a shopping trip to Dollar Tree, for $1.25 each.
Once she got her goodies home, she laid out all the ingredients on her workstation and buckled down.
Stephanie popped the bottoms off the solar lights, setting them aside.
Next, she removed their yellow adhesive lights, making sure to activate the lights.
With the lids off the glass jars, she applied a thick layer of adhesive glue and hot glue around the rim, quickly placing the solar light over the opening before the glue set.
To jazz up her front garden, she added planter stakes into the dirt and added the hanging lights onto the hooks, creating mini lampposts.
Once the sun went down, the magical lights transformed her front yard, lighting up her walkway and prevented her from tripping over anything.
“I love the added lights. I think it came out so cute! Happy crafting!” she said.
Many decided to get creative with their DIY, using what they had on hand.
“Mine only had the solar lights. I found 3 mason jars & mason jar lids. Did it that way. Cute either way haha,” said one commenter.
“You can also add the glass-looking stones they sell and it’ll give it a sparkly look,” suggested another.
One viewer suggested an additional Dollar Tree tip that would kick the lights up a notch.
“I would also add the faux diamonds from Dollar Tree in the jars and the light will reflect!” they said.
“You could fill the jars with marbles! Great idea!” said one nifty DIYer.

While some enjoyed her creative idea, a few pointed out a step that would be inconvenient later.
“Nice but now that you glued them to the glass how do you replace the batteries?” asked one commenter.
“I like the idea of gluing them down, the only issue would be if you need to change out a battery. Definitely cool idea!” echoed another.
A few wanted to run to Dollar Tree to try the two-step home project out for themselves.
“Love it, going to do it,” said one commenter.
“I love solar lights, so tempted to go right now,” said another.
