The team say they have been left baffled by the bizarre theft as the culprit “cannot use, sell or do anything with” the card reader.
They said that the firm will now need to fork out £500 to replace it, adding that this would take time to do.
The incident has left the boozer with just one card reader left, which will impact how quickly customers can be served.
This will impact staff’s ability to do their job as well as the amount of business the bar will be able to make, bosses have explained.
They added that workers will now also be paid late as they try to deal with the situation.
This is because the team can’t access the money that was collected by the card machine until they have it back.
In a bid to track down the brazen thief, who is understood to have been attending a wedding, bosses have issued a desperate plea on social media.
They shared CCTV footage and are asking for anyone with any information to get in touch.
A screenshot of the clip shows a man standing at the bar at the time of the incident wearing a red tie and dark blazer.
They shared a photo of the man on their Instagram story as well as a short clip catching him picking up the card reader and putting it in his pocket.
The statement from the bar read: “To be Fully transparent, we get we’re just a pub.
“But we are an independent bar and stealing a card machine you cannot use, sell or do anything with – you’re doing more harm than you realise.
“This will mean our staff get paid late whilst we try and sort it out.

“We’ll have to fork out upwards of 500 quid to replace it (eventually, cause we can’t just what it out).
“And now we have one card machine which will effect serving folk fast and how we do our job and make the business money so we get money to you know live in this fire pit country.
“Considering hospitality is still on its bloody knees – you’re a Grade A a****** who has just f***** over 13 people and I hope the wedding you were at tonight served you cold steak pie you absolute t***.
“If you know him or know the folk in the photos please message us.”
