Police detectives investigating a reported assault in Ashford have renewed their appeal to identify a man pictured in CCTV, after a second arrest was made in relation to the assault.
Police were called after it was reported that a man was assaulted from behind after leaving a public house in Mead Road, Willesborough at around 10.30pm on Saturday 28th September 2024.
The victim, aged in his thirties, was taken to a local hospital for treatment after sustaining broken bones and injuries to his face. He has since been discharged to continue his recovery at home.
On Friday 11th October, a 20 year old man from Canterbury was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 26 year old man from Ashford, arrested on suspicion of assault on Tuesday 1st October, remains on bail while enquiries continue. Officers continue to investigate and have renewed their appeal to identify a man pictured in CCTV, who may be able to assist police.
