This move is likely to rile up Mr Putin who has long tried to meddle in European domestic affairs to try and “destabilise the European Union”, says Tara Varma, head of the ECFR in Paris to Euro News. The Kremlin seeks to undermine the EU as it goes against their vision of the world.
