Protestors angry at the government for cutting the winter fuel allowance have made their feelings public.
A mystery person has placed a banner near the war memorial roundabout at the end of Orprington High street that says “Granny Killing Starmer – Leave Our Pensioners Alone”.
It is not known who placed the banner there or why they chose to do it, but the location certainly has a lot of passing traffic. The banner has since been removed.
People are extremely unhappy with Labour Prime Minister Kier Starmer after he removed the winter fuel allowance to save money. Orpington currently has a Conservative MP Gareth Bacon and is traditionally seen as a ‘blue’ constituency.
