The intention of the terrorists to spread unrest in Jammu and Kashmir has once again turned sour. Together, the police and the army have foiled a terrorist plot. Police have seized an IED on the Jammu and Kashmir Highway near Batra Hospital to avert a major mishap. On the highway, terrorists planted an ID with a timer in a black box. His information was received by the living police in time. A police bomb disposal squad arrived at the scene on time and took the IED to safety. Police and army are conducting a search operation in the area. According to the information received from the police, people became suspicious when they saw a black box in the rubbish on the highway near Batra Hospital in Siddhada and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the police team reached the spot. Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli also reached there. Suspicion arose on seeing the box and security forces immediately directed to stop the movement of vehicles on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. The movement of vehicles on both sides of the highway was stopped and the Bomb Disposal Squad was informed. The Bomb Disposal Squad pulled the bin out of the bin and took it to a safe place and opened it. The terrorists planted an IED with a timer in the box. Troops involved in the operation safely defused the blast. A search operation has since been launched in the area. Police suspect that the terrorists who planted the IED are hiding nearby. People are also being questioned. Batra Hospital and the highway are being investigated for whether the terrorists planted explosives at any other place.
