US president, Joe Biden will finally ease US travel restrictions for fully vaccinated British nationals from November.
British Prime minister, Boris Johnson consistently made pleas to President Biden to ease the harsh rules, an issue both parties will be discussing during a meeting a the Oval Office tomorrow.
Britain had lifted restrictions on fully vaccinated US visitors in July in a move that was considered to be a ‘goodwill gesture’
However, after two months, the US was yet to return the gesture.
President Biden is now set to unveil a new policy in the coming weeks that would apply to EU and British travellers from November.
According to UK government sources, ‘It’s looking positive.’
In June, following of deliberations at the G7 summit in Cornwall, Prime Minister Johnson and President Biden had constituted a dedicated working group hash out the modalities of the restrictions.

Regardless of claims by UK officials that it was on the cusp of making a breakthrough, progress appeared to have hit a brick wall.
At the moment, travellers from the UK are unable to visit the US without special permission from the United States government.

It has also placed a wobbly aviation sector in a more precarious financial situation.
According to the US, the travel ban on the UK was majorly down to COVID-19 related reasons.
Boris Johnson has persistently argued in favour of the effectiveness of the UK’s vaccination programme, eliminating Biden’s argument for refusing to lift the restriction against vaccinated travellers.
According to British Airways chief, Sean Doyle: ‘The Prime Minister is doing something this week that remains out of reach for most Britons – visiting the US.
‘We need the PM to urgently make the case for re-opening the transatlantic corridor during his meeting with President Biden and move the Atlantic Charter they discussed at the G7 back in June to the top of the agenda.
