        Modi calls on Japanese companies to invest in India

        Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a trip to Japan to attend the Quad Summit. During this time he also visited many of Japan’s top businessmen. Prime Minister Modi also urged Japanese companies to look for investment opportunities in India. During the meeting, the chairman of Suzuki Motor Corporation praised Prime Minister Modi’s performance. Toshihiro Suzuki, Chairman and President, Suzuki Motor Corporation, said that the reforms being undertaken by Prime Minister Modi are transforming India into a modern landscape. He said Japanese companies were supporting Prime Minister Modi’s drive for self-reliance. Apart from Toshihiro Suzuki, Modi also met Osamu Suzuki, Senior Advisor, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Masayoshi Son, Board Director, Softbank Group Corporation and Tadashi Yanai, President and CEO, Uniclo. Masayoshi Son, board director of Softbank Group Corporation, also praised Prime Minister Modi and India. “India is moving very fast,” he said. New startups are emerging every day in India and new unicorns are being made. I think India’s future is bright. Prime Minister Modi is committed to India’s success. They are supporting startups and Unicorn. At the same time, they are making India the tech center of the world. During his meeting with Osamu Suzuki, Prime Minister Modi recalled his engagement with India and his contributions. He also lauded Suzuki Motors for its role in transforming the auto industry in India. Prime Minister Modi also expressed happiness over the selection of applications from Suzuki Motor Gujarat Pvt. Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. under the incentive scheme for manufacturing in the automobile and auto component sectors. Prime Minister Modi and Osamu Suzuki also discussed investment opportunities in India. In the meantime, special emphasis was laid on setting up electric vehicle and battery production plants and setting up recycling centers in India to achieve the goal of sustainable growth. He discussed strategies for building a local innovation system in India, including skill development by the Japan-India Institutes of Manufacturing and Japanese Endode Courses. Tadashi Yanai, chairman, president and CEO of Uniclo, praised India after its meeting with Prime Minister Modi. Commenting on the visit, the Prime Minister’s Office said, “Tadashi Yanai appreciated the appetite of Indians for starting an enterprise. Prime Minister Modi asked him to join the PM-Mitra scheme which has been launched to strengthen the textile sector.

        Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Japanese capital Tokyo on Monday. Where the quad will attend the summit on Tuesday. PM Modi spoke to Indian tourists and locals. He talked to a child and asked, “Wow, where did you learn Hindi?” Do you speak very good hindi Giving a brief overview of the Prime Minister’s engagements with Japanese businessmen, Indian Ambassador to Japan Sanjay Kumar Verma said that Tokyo was excited about the opportunities in New Delhi. PM Modi and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Fishida have ambitions to invest five trillion Japanese yen in India through public, private and financing. Earlier, in March 2009, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Fishida visited India to attend the 19th India-Japan Annual Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Joe Biden and other Quad leaders are expected to discuss the Indo-Pacific region’s challenges and opportunities, as well as other global issues, at a summit in Tokyo on May 9. PM Modi is on a visit to Japan to attend the summit. Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Katra said the forthcoming summit would provide an opportunity to observe the progress made so far under the leaders’ quad structure and provide guidance for the future. Quad collaboration promotes shared values ​​and principles of democracy, international law, rule-based international order, as well as the vision of an independent, open and inclusive Indo-Pacific.
