Spain is facing a severe shortage of people working in the fields of tourism, agriculture, construction and technology.

Countries around the world have opened up after the second or third wave of covid and there is a severe shortage of workers in different sectors. European countries in particular are facing a shortage of workforce, including Spain. Spain has decided to increase the number of work visas to alleviate labor shortages. Plenty of jobs have been created in the tourism and construction sector since Kovid came under control and there is a shortage of manpower for this work. Spain has said it is considering easing work permit rules for foreigners. Spain’s Minister of Social Security and Migration Jose Luis Escriva said Spain would issue more temporary visas to bring in people from outside the sector in need of workers. “We have studied different aspects of the migration law and are going to make changes where possible. Spain currently has a severe shortage of people who can work in the tourism, agriculture, construction and technology industries,” he said. The government plans to allow 20,000 non-EU students to study as well as work. Permits to work will be granted to those whose family has shown an old relationship with Spain. Jobs to be filled immediately in Spain include telemarketers, sales representatives, drivers of delivery vehicles, and software developers. Spain’s tourism industry has seen a sharp rebound, but companies are facing labor shortages. There is a dearth of people who can clean a table in a restaurant or a room in a hotel. The S&P Monthly Purchasing Power Survey was released in Spain on Friday. It showed that despite good demand in May, businesses were not able to grow as expected as they were having difficulty finding workers. It has also led to a sharp rise in the salaries of workers who are willing to work. Spain’s economy suffered the most in Europe during the Covid, with an 11 per cent contraction during the Covid. Spain also has a very high unemployment rate, according to European standards.
